Membership Co-ordinator has the facility to send emails, either to hand-picked lists of people to groups or to SmartFilters that you set up in advance. For example you may wish to email all of the parents of children attending a youth group to inform them of a trip and attach a consent form, email the minutes of the last meeting to the relevant members, send visiting lists to the visitors etc.

Of course it may not be just emails that you wish to send. You can also send text messages directly from within Membership Co-ordinator ( a text-messaging account is required for this) to remind people of meetings, inform them of a new rota being available, new service times, new information available on the website etc. Texting is simple, instant and cost-effective and, for an increasing number of people, a preferred method of communication.

If you use Microsoft Outlook (not Outlook Express) to manage your contacts and emails, a new facility in Membership Co-ordinator will export directly to Outlook. Therefore a minister, youth worker, visitor etc. may wish to have the contact details for the people they are responsible for (this could be selected or groups of people held within Membership Co-ordinator) downloaded to their iPhone, Blackberry or other Smartphone. So long as their phone can syncronise to Microsoft Outlook.

You can export contact details for everyone, just those in a particular group or SmartFilter which in turn can then be downloaded to their phone - another very useful facility that can save so much time.
